rewarding!!! Finally after three (3) service requests I got a phone call back from a representative from your company. Once this happened and was told what I needed to supply (numbers inside of window panel) it was determined that this panel had a full warrantee. The repesentative gave me options dates of when the service tech could replace the panel and was give a very resonable time frame of when he would be at my home. The service tech arrived within one half hour of his time fram and had the job completed in about one half hours time. Great Service Experience! My new sliding French door arrived with one of the doors rubbing. So, immediately opened a service ticket. Fixing my double hung window boo boo I did a dumb thing taking out the bottom half of a double hung MIlgard Woodclad window, then pushing the "shoes" to the bottom of the track. (Don't do this. You can't get the window back in without knowing how to raise the "shoes.") Although we waited a month for a Milgard Service appointment, the service techs were on time on the appointment day and fixed the problem in less than 10 minutes. They even shared with me the trick of how to raise the shoes should I ever do something this foolish again. Thanks Milgard techs for your quick fix and helpful hints for this do-it-yourselfer. Great Service! I am VERY pleased with Milgard, in 14 years I had to have only 3 windows replaced. 2 in bathrooms, where the moisture is huge... Today, the two young men were very pleasant and professionally. Slipped on their 'over the shoes' protectors before I could ask!!! Very polite and came on time and were done quickly. Excellant windows and service I was contacted right away by a service rep on the request that I posted from there web site. I was provided a date for the technician to show at my house and they contacted me prior to arrival. As soon as they saw the issue they corrected it right away. The Milgard warranty and that they stand by their product as amazing. These windows and patio door was installed over 10 years ago and they still are serviced at no charge. That is hard to beat. Problem Solved After Long Wait The positive: Service tech was very professional and quickly took care of the issue. The Negative: I called on 31 Jul to request help but the first available appointment was 9 Sep. I think waiting 40 days to have a service tech come out would be considered "poor" by any reasonable measure. October 30, 2014
Great once made contact on the phone. Had a problem with two single hung classic vinyl windows, and attempted to coordinate a repair service call using the on line form. I found the form was inadequate for relating the specific problems I was having with my windows, but reported what it allowed. I did not get any confirmation that my request for service had been received or schedule information, so believed the on line process was futile. I called 1800MILGARD and was connected to service rep. (think her name is Theresa) and learned service was scheduled and I was able to provide more information on service needs. Theresa was very helpful. Mark, the technician, did a great job fixing the windows and was a true professional. Once past the on line process, the rest was excellent. October 30, 2014
service was great Service tech was very friendly and did a great job removing and replacing the glass. While cleaning the glass he noticed that the glass had a defective spot between the glass panes. He then said that he would have to Order another glass pane and would be back to replace it as soon as possible. He was very professional about everything I was very pleased with the service. Milgard has a great warranty Overall we are very satisfied with the Milgard service. You can't beat the lifetime warranty, we've lived in our for 18 years and the handles and locking mechanism wore out and one glass panel started to get condensation between the glass and they replaced the handles, locks and glass no problem. Overall great customer service. The response time from the day I reported the situation to the day it was repaired was a bit long, well over a month. However, it was not deemed an emergency and did not adversely affect the structure or cause any personal inconvenience. I appreciated the automated phone call a few days prior as a reminder, and the call from the service tech the day of the service. The tech knew exactly how to fix the problem and resolved the issue within an impressive time frame. Attention was given to cleaning all surfaces of the repaired window and adjacent areas of contact during the process. I anticipate continuing to support Milgard. Thanks y'all. Well done. Very happy with the service of your technician. The service tech was on time and reparis completed in 30 minutes. He replaced the glass in a window with a broken seal and fix the melted plastic track on our sliding screen door. The fix was quick, however, I had to wait 2 1/2 months to get an appointment for someone to come out and could not close the door the entire summer. Looking forward to using the door next summer. Warrenty nightmare We bought a house with Milgard windows. the warrant would expire with the previous owner. we found several windows needing attention so the previous owners made arrangements to have the windows fixed. the soonest the windows could be fixed was two months after we moved into the house. then when they came to fix them they had the wrong windows. So now we have had to wait another two months to get them fixed. this seems wrong to me....what good is a warrant if you have to wait so long to get them fixed. the one window they did fix is great. I just wish they were a little more responsive to fixing the issues as they are in trying to get you to buy the product. October 28, 2014
