Took 4 months to get replacement screen. The quality of both the slider door and screen we got are great, but the screen door came with a tear in it and the frame was slightly bent not letting it slide properly. Not a big deal as I know things can get damaged in transit. The problem was that it took 2 months to get a call back from Milgard after numerous phone calls from the dealer where I purchased the items. After finally getting a call back to make an appointment to have a tech come out and swap screen doors, the closest appointment they had was two months later. So from installation to getting a new screen under warranty took 4 months. December 20, 2013
The Service Tech was awesome - exactly the reason I purchased Milgard Windows After having my windows installed by A New View in Anaheim the installer noticed that one of the locks wasn't functioning properly and I noticed a smudge on the vinyl on the outside of one of my new windows. I was unsure as to who Caused the smudge or who would be responsible for taking care of it. The installer put in a service request and the service tech was out about a week later. The tech arrived and I showed him the green and black smudge on the vinyl and led him to the window with the broken lock. After showing him I left briefly to talk with another contractor. Ten minutes later I went to track him down and the lock was fixed and the vinyl had been cleaned to perfection. The service tech was very professional. It was basically a hassle free service call and exactly the reason I purchased Milgard windows. December 20, 2013

The service was excellent! I called Milgaurd out to my home to check a possible moisture defect with my Milgaurd windows. After my insistance there was a problem, they willingly came out twice and each time couldn't find anything wrong with them. After second time we realized the moisture was on the outside of my 2 story home. Completely 100% my mistake. I did need to replace one of my windows and they couldn't have been nicer or more effecient. The order was placed immediately and the window was installed promptly. Quick, Excellent Work! I called the service number when I noticed a problem with a large picture window, and expected the worst: a long time to wait, a lot of intrusive work on our house, hassles over warranty claim. It couldn't have been more opposite. The rep got the proper numbers off the window for me (they must have good record-keeping, since they knew my address right away#, and after a brief description of the issue, she knew what was wrong and set about scheduling a glass replacement, and assured me it would be quick and painless. The appointment was a few weeks out but not ridiculous. The service guys were working in the area so they stopped by early and got started. The glass actually came out and the new pane went in in about 15 minutes and it all looks great again. Good job by Milgard engineering these windows so the glass can be easily replaced in case of broken seals #my problem) or breakage, without having to disturb the caulking or trim on the house. Excellent Service The Milgard service person for Maui is very professional. He promptly calls when service is requested and is timely and efficient in diagnosing the problem. Total rating --- fair The first FOUR phone calls did not result in a call back (Susan & Denise) On the fifth call I asked to speak to someone other than these two individuals. I was connected to Pat, who was helpful and knowledgeable, and scheduled the ordering of the replacement windows.. The installer, Mike, was super efficient and very professional; he arrived at the agreed time, and was very pleasant. Your customer phone personnel need to RETURN PHONE CALLS.. Another problem solved I am a builder on the north Oregon coast. There are less expensive products available, but I always try to talk my customers into using Milgard because of the guarantee. This was just one more example of a customer realizing the slight difference in cost was more than made up for by service down the road. December 18, 2013
Service man was excellent and very professional..Great experience.. Milgard service and materials are excellent and the service man that fixed the windows was extremely professional and personable. Have never had a problem with Milgard and their service..Widows were replaced with very minimal interference with our everyday activities. Area was cleaned and put back as it was before hand. Great service, but factory QC needs improving We've had about 4 visits by Milgard's service folks during the first year after our whole-house window replacement. The service reps customer service, professionalism, knowledge, and execution were excellent. However it's unfortunate so many visits were necessary due to manufacturing defects AND evidently lack of factory Quality Control. Many Thanks to the service folks for resolving the problems. The repairman we very good. Everything was good until the day of service. As background, we were first scheduled for the window to be replaced between 1pm and 3pm on 12/16/13. Within hours, we received a second email changing the time to 9am to 11am. We waited until a little after 11am to call you since no one had shown up. We were switched over to the repairer's phone who told us he/she was on a big job and couldn't be here until 1pm to 3pm. At about 1pm we got a call say that he, the repairman, was outside our unit and needed to be let in. After he arrived, it seemed to me that he was given my repair job at the last minute to cover a mix up in scheduling. December 17, 2013

the service is lacking after a couple of months, the windows were finally replaced. The installer showed up at the wrong home. When I got home last night and looked at the work, I was startled. The door frame is now cracked, there are numerous chips in the paint. Joe December 17, 2013

Great service The tech did say that the window he replaced had been installed improperly. There were 4 windows installed the last time I am hoping that the rest were installed properly. However with Milguard's commitment to service I know that if they were not they will immediately rectify any issues we have. We would never build another home without Milguard windows. The best! I can't say enough about Milgard's quality, warranty and service. We had our windows for a long time and just recently notice a few had some clouding going inside the panes. We called Milgard and explained the problem and without any hesitation Milgard set up an app to come out to review all our windows. They confirmed the issues on the windows we thought were a problem but they found another one as well. They set up another appointment with us to have all the damaged windows replaced. When they arrived to replace the windows, they were on time, they were very careful with every thing, they were extremely clean and utmost professional. Thank you Milgard for everything!
