Poor customer service It has taken over 6 months to resolve a defective Milgard window. Several service appointments set up by Milgard service rep were NO SHOWS then when they finally came, the technician did not have the proper size ladder and other equipment to replace the glass. All of the service appointments are completely at the convenience of Milgard. On July 25- the date was set up over a month ago- I never received an email confirmation so I called that morning to see if someone was coming. I was told yes. Then I received a message from the tech that he was not coming that day because my glass had not been loaded on to the truck that morning. I insisted that it was their responsibility to go get that glass and fulfill their commitment to fix my window since this was now the THIRD appointment that I took the day off for. Thankfully that tech made it happen and came at the end of the day to replace the glass. July 28, 2013
Excellent experience! Everything went like clockwork from the first initial contact with the rep to the installation that occurred 2 days ago. Very professional and quick. This is the way home repair should go. Thanks Milgard! July 27, 2013
The service was timely and efficient! I couldn't be more pleased. The service was amazing! I was told the technicians would be at my home between 3:30 & 5:30pm. I was delighted to see them arrive at 3:30pm sharp! In approximately 40 minutes they had replaced the skylight and bedroom windows. They made sure they left no trash behind either. I saw them picking up any speck they thought they might have left. What an terrific experience. Thank you Milgard :) July 27, 2013
Referred to DIY video on Milgard website The "Full LIfetime Warrenty" apparently does not apply now when the balancer in a sliding window becomes detached from the window. Milgard considers this an adjustment issue, according to the service rep I spoke with. I was referred to the video library on the website to learn how to fix the problem myself. I asked for a link to the video and the service rep sent that to me a couple days later. The link didn't work. I eventually found the link myself on the website. This same problem occurred a couple years ago with another window and Milgard sent somebody out to fix it. July 27, 2013
Installer was awesome! Service installer took the extra time when he first came out and saw that another window had failed but I hadn't notice. He went ahead and ordered the replacement window to install at the same time. He went above and beyond good customer service in helping me out. Would recommend the company. July 27, 2013
Stands behind the product We appreciate the fact that Milgard stands behind their product and gives excellent service when any replacement is needed. Beyond expectations! When i first called in with my problems, the rep was able to pull up my order from 7 plus years ago. i told her which windows were having issues and she said that they would be replaced and the parts on one would be be fixed. We set a date. I received an email the day before with a 2 hour window of the the time as well as the name and picture of the technician that would be coming out. The technician was on time and replaced two windows and the mechanism for another within a very short time and was gone. What else could I ask for? GREAT SERVICE! July 26, 2013

Too long of a wait for parts. Much too long waiting on parts, but Michael, the in-home Service Tech was awesome! He was prompt, knowledgeable, experienced, quick, and friendly. I remain impressed with the quality of the Millguard product (sliding patio door). July 26, 2013

Customer Service was So So While it took some patience dealing with Service in Sacramento, Had an issue trying to find our customer number on the window that needed replacing due to leakage between panes. Service insisted the number was on the window edge however the numbers were not correct. Went back and forth for several calls on this.Had to have a tech come out to find the number. We have Ultra windows ( triple Pane) so the number was inside the slider and had to be removed to find it, and it was very faded that even a magnifying glass was not much help. Had to remove the slider from another window that was not in the sun to get the number. Tech was really helpful there however he forgot to note on the repair order a patio door that would not lock. Thank goodness there was 2 of them to install the new window and he was able to adjust it to where at least it will lock, it's not perfect but livable. Not the quickest process in getting the window replaced but at least it was under warranty. July 26, 2013
Replaced cracked window The person I spoke to on the phone was very professional. I received an email reminder about the appointment which was very helpful as well. The gentleman that came to the house to replace the window was very courteous and had the window out and replaced in a very reasonable amount of time. They really stand behind thier product Over the last 11 years I have had several windows fail (Diagonal lines appearing in the windows). They promptly come out and replace the windows under warranty with no questions asked. I couldn't ask for any better service., July 26, 2013

If you are replacing your window go Milgard! We replaced all the original single pane windows in our house with Milgard double paned. When one of the windows fogged up between the panes we used the lifetime guarantee to obtain a replacement. The process went very smoothly and it was a pleasure dealing with such a high grade company. I would recommend Milgard wholeheartedly. July 25, 2013

Great Experience I stopped and spoke with a Milgard gentleman in our housing development on July 3rd. He did not know me from Adam. Told him some of my window slides were broken. He took my name & address, said he would take care of it. I received a phone call from Patty, she scheduled an appointment and Sam came out and totally fixed all of my windows. I wish I knew the first gentleman's name, but I don't. I thought he just took my information so he could leave without incident. I never expected him to really take care of my problems. All three of these Milgard employee's were exceptional. Sam was awesome, he even looked at & fixed our back sliding door. I would highly recommend Milgard. July 25, 2013
We were thrilled with the Milgard service guarantee! The Milgard company backed up the lifetime warranty we had on our windows. They came out promptly and replaced two of our windows. Service was excellent from start to finish From the beginning when we talked to the service rep to the scheduling of the appointment and finally to the repair everything was handled professionally and efficiently. They gave me a 2 hour window for the service tech to repair the problem and he arrived right on time and handled the repair very quickly. Very happy with the overall experience! July 25, 2013
Amazing Customer Service Experience Start to Finish As someone who works in customer service I value an excellent experience. Every person I have dealt with at Milgard was professional and easy to work with. I was impressed with the customer service I received, from start to finish! When we moved in 4 years ago we noticed the windows were difficult to operate, a few did not latch and a two handed operation at all times (a great arm workout). We had one window fail and a rep came out to assess the situation. I received a call from Milgard to schedule a repair appointment. I was also directed to the Milgard website so that I could learn how to clean the sliding window tracks to prevent future roller damage. When the repair technician arrived I was stunned when he said they were replacing ALL of the sliders and rollers on every window in the house. The technician was professional, answered all of my questions and the repairs were made quickly. The only downside? I need to find a new arm workout, my windows all latch and open and close with one hand! Would I use Milgard again? Absolutely! I would also use them if I needed replacement windows - they back their products providing terrific warranty service with professional people. July 25, 2013

See below I love the product, the installer was nice, clean and professional. My problem was that it took so long, 6 months, to get an appointment as the last appointment is so early in the day. In order to meet your schedule I would have to take a day off from work-not acceptable. I'm a teacher and would be able to meet with your installer at a reasonable hour, 3 pm and that was still too late. Weekends were not available either. I think this is an area that needs a lot more flexibility. July 25, 2013

took a week to return my request not happy with the service . my neighbor had the same problem and the service rep made him a deal on replacement windows even though he was not the first owner . I was told that I was out of luck because I'm not the original owner. July 24, 2013
