I will be raving about Milgard for years to come! They had me at hello! When I dialed, I do not think the phone rang even once before a live person greeted me and directed my call to Melissa. Melissa was extremely pleasant and professional to work with. Now I know very little about anything window related, she was very patient while walking me though finding the information she needed. When the service techs were out, they were also very pleasant to work with and welcomed them into my home. This is all service related, now I will share my thoughts on the warrenty on my windows! Truly the best in the industry!! Hassle free replacements under warranty! Unheard-of! You can clearly see that Milgaurd takes care of their employees and customers! Thank you for making it so easy! Excellent service The only concern I had was although Milgard installed all the windows in the home and the service tech knew there were windows in the basement needing repair, the in-home tech refused to service the basement windows because it wasn't on the order sheet. This is concerning to me because apparently I need to call for another service for the basement. April 23, 2013
The service was good. Milguard's ability to service my needs on the front end was less than desirable. It took a month of going back and forth with Allison to finally reach an associate that would hear and work towards resolving our needs. Even then, my phone calls got shuffled through several people. Once I got connected to the appropriate person, then the work finally got scheduled and completed. The rep who came to our home was professional and efficient. Superb and quick.. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that there was a delay in the installation on the day of. They did call, albeit 1.5 hours into the 3 hour time frame. They did show up at the corrected time. We had a large picture window (1 of 4) fail after 8 years.(Seal - window was still ok to stay in place until replacement.) I called the store that I bought the window from and they said it would be 2 days before I would get a call. I got a service call back in 2 hours and a installation date - 2.5 weeks out. Perfect. Other than the timing issue. The whole process from arrival to departure took 18 minutes! Leaving me with new window and clean too! Thank you to the professional men that did the work! Putting in replacement windows The tech did an excellent job and so did the lady that had me on the phone. I hung up trying to get speaker mode and boom she was gone. Once the tech arrived, the results were good, getting the tech here was not I put in a call for service with the company I purchased the sliding door from. After one week of not hearing from my sales rep or a factory person, I had to call my sales rep again and request service. Shortly thereafter I received a call from a factory person scheduling a visit. The tech rep showed up early, and then corrected the problem in a matter of minutes. April 22, 2013

Bad Service During the first rain after installing a brand new Milgard aluminum sliding window, it didn't drain the water from the railing and it came into my house. Per their Technician that came to my house it was due to a defective railing. He drilled hole in 2 places and it still doesn't drain the water. I am still battling to get a defective free window. Customer service that Milgard promises doesn't exist. They will give you defective windows. April 22, 2013

Good to Very Good I didn't rate second item because the call I received was in response to an online request for service. The rep was very professional when I pointed out that for a simple issue like cord replacement much of the information in the service request is not even worth gathering. I had to go back to the window several times to measure and try to figure out what was being asked. I prefer being able to leave a brief message requesting service than to spend 10 to 15 minutes filling out an online form. Rep understood and was very understanding. April 20, 2013

Leaky Window We have one window that really leaks and lets dust and wind in. He caulked it and I hope it helps. The seals were good. The window is only 7 years old. I have lived in this area since 1957 and the wndows in our old house did not do this. We bought this house last July.. April 20, 2013

Efficient and Effective The service tech arrived at my home in the last half hour of the 2-hour appointment window. I showed him the problem and he immediately took out the window and went to work. He replaced the broken part and had the window back in place before the 2-hour appointment time was finished. He also showed me how to do a yearly lube of the sliding grooves with silicon lubricant. Very nice guy. Getting warranty service is a good experience with Milgard. April 19, 2013

Efficient and courteous. The tech went beyond the basic replacement of damaged windows, fixing a sliding door guide that I'd damaged some years ago. He asked if he might borrow a vacuum cleaner to clean up a few stray bits of dust the service kicked up. When I asked if I could have the old windows for a greenhouse I was building, he offered to carry them to the barn for me. His professionalism and courtesy were as they should be, but unfortunately a rarity in the service field. Thank you. April 19, 2013
