Great service I very satisfied with my experience with Milgard on my warranty service call. Not many companies offer a lifetime warranty and really support their product. The technician EDGAR C was great. He was cordial, helpful and completed the job fast. I was really impresses with his service and communication prior to the call. I asked to be call 15 min before his arrival and he did call me, told me he will be there in 15 min. He was at my door in exactly 15 minutes! Thank you for great service, you have a loyal customer! 100% impressed with the service The seal failed on one of our double paned windows. The service was impeccable, all the way from the first phone call. The repair guys came on time, they were neat and efficient. Milgard had even sent a photo of the repairman so that I know who to expect. Kudo's to milgard for standing by their product!! Windows were bad, warranty process was poor; technician was great. This is my second Milgard window, and they both had warranty issues. So, the first window had a faulty track (too short, said the technician) for the window to ride on. It would tip to the side when it reached the end of the track if I hadn't moved the track far to that side. It would have been an easy fix, but we decided to go with a different color and style (Tuscany was too big in this location.) I went to a different store to get better help with ordering, and did get the help, but the new window came in wrong. We had to wait another two weeks for the correct window to come in. After installing the second window and removing the label, we discovered long scratches that ran the full length of the window. I made initial contact via the warranty email but never heard back. I tracked down a phone number and called. They never received my email. Hmmm. That's a lot of work for a problem I didn't create. I scheduled an appointment--another couple of weeks, but at least the window was in. The technician arrived on time. He said these were the worst scratches he had ever seen in their product, but he fixed it quickly and adjusted the rollers. I don't know if I will continue with Milgard as we replace the other windows in our house. This was the first window we replaced, and the experience with Milgard has been awful. March 20, 2013
Robert fixed them! Robert came over to look at my insect screens which were too big to fit on the windows. He saved everyone a lot of trouble and expense by realizing that the insect screen frames just needed a little tap with a rubber mallot to get them to be the proper size for easy insertion onto the windows. He even repaired a insect screen frame which I had bent while trying to remove it at a time when it still fit too tight. Thanks, Robert! March 20, 2013
Simply Outstanding - Customer service as it should be! Wow.... simply put I was a bit shocked at how easy the entire process was. I simply called and said "Hey this looks wrong", they said "no problem we'll come replace it, how is Friday?" They didn't make me justify the claim, send pictures or anything. The actual service tech arrived right on time and was very efficent. I am very satisfied with Milgard and I will definetly purchase from them again. March 19, 2013
The window replacement was easy, quick and painless. Great job. The original window had a leak between the two panes. The replacement man came within the two hour time frame assigned and the replacement was completed very quickly and efficiently. He even cleaned up after himself and put the curtain backup for me. Incredibly good Wow. Incredible service. I called the company (Milgard) that put in our windows in our old house to get a replacement part (the balancer). They asked for my address and what room the window was in. I heard her typing away and then she says, "It looks like you have two windows in your living room, 3' by 6', with grids. Right? I know the balancer you need." She then says that she recommends replacing both balancers at the same time. Makes sense. I ask her how much this will cost and she says "Free of charge. I'll Fedex them to your house. We'll ship them out on Friday." Finally, she said she'd email me a link to a video to show how to replace them. Incredible. March 19, 2013
Excellent professional handling and service. Everything on my repair was done promptly and professionally. The repair man showed when scheduled and had the window replaced in minutes. POOR SERVICE POLICY Our house has Milgard windows so when one got broken by a golf ball I immediately called Milgard to have it replaced. Fortunately only the outer pane was broken because it took over 6 weeks to get a service technician out to replace it. Additionally, we were immediately charged the full amount of the replacement which in my opinion is appalling. I can understand a deposit but not paying totally in advance, espeically 6 weeks in advance. When this was questioned we were told it is Milgard's policy. We did get two days notice prior to the scheduled day and the technicial was prompt and professional. Replacement of the window went quickly and we are very pleased with that portion of the service. The service that Milgard provides is the best in the industry, bar none! I have never had a company go so far out of their way to stand behind their product. Even minor issues that I may have just lived with were taken care of without question. I love the product, and have been more than pleased with every person I have dealt with in the entire company. Milgard is Great! I had the interior pane of a double pane window explode in the middle of the night. I called Milgard and they took down some information and set up an appointment to have my window replaced. When the technician arrived, it took less than 10 minutes to have the new pane installed and put back into our home. Thank you for such great service. March 18, 2013
The service was poor. The issue, that of not being able to latch, and therefore completely close, some of our windows, was not resolved. After the service man left, I checked one of the windows. It was still not latching properly. When I tried to click one of the pieces in as he'd demonstrated, it did not help the problem. Also, he did not have parts that were needed. March 18, 2013
Still waiting The tech was excellent. This was the third time, in three years,to fix leaking windows, They only leaked with heavy wind and hard rain. He took some pictures and said I would get a call from the office about repairing the damage. Still no call, it has been months. March 18, 2013

6 appointments to replace scratched aluminum Okay, so Milgard eventually replaced the aluminum struts that were scratched during their installation, free of charge and politely. So, the good news is that they came through in the end. The bad news is that it took more than 3 months and 6 appointments before the job was actually done. Despite my emailing photos of the damaged pieces, the first tech had the wrong parts. 2nd and 3rd times, the new parts were damaged and so the appointment was cancelled on the day of the appointment. 4th appointment was rescheduled a couple of days before. 5th time, wrong parts again. 6th time, voila! The tech was careful not to unwrap them before he got to my house. That's the first time that I saw them wrapped. Lastly, it's a little rude that the customers are informed of the 2 hour window of the appointment a day or so in advance. It would be more considerate if they asked us our preference for at least morning or afternoon and then let us know a week in advance. At the end of the day, all was done to my satisfaction, but it looks as though the service was just barely competent. If I were paying for the tech's time, I'd be upset at how much money I wasted to do a relatively simple task. March 16, 2013

So glad I bought Milgard Contractor installed new view windows 3 years ago. Recently one of them exhibited condensation, which eventually began to look like large dirty raindrops. The seal was compromised and not only did Milgard honor the warranty, as expected, but they came and installed at no charge. Not sure if all companies do this but I was relieved to have the labor covered in the warranty.. March 15, 2013
