Service was incomplete. Glass fixed, window hardware not fixed. I phoned with two problems, broken glass and window harware broken and missing. Only the window glass was repaired. When I pointed out the window slide hardware needed replacing the tech said "I don't have that". September 11, 2012

Worked fast in and out, once they figured out what need to be done. Did not appear to know what work had to be done and was not sure which windows needed new screens. I indicated that they would have the information on what need to be done, they insisted that they did not know. After finally reviewing the work order they knew the location of the windows that need screens replaced. One window had a scratch and it was not buffed out as requested. After they left, I realized that they had not finished. I told Windows only that there was no need to have the tech come back. September 10, 2012
Service in home great. Phone service not so much. Excellent service tech came to home and installed new glass where needed. Highly recommend him. Making initial contact was difficult. Phone calls not returned. Finally, had to ask for customer service manager. She took care of the issue. Twice the factory either sent the wrong glass or omitted a glass, so service tech had to return 3 times to complete because of mixup at factory or between original installation company and factory. So, I couldn't give an excellent overall, but where it counted--here at my home, superb!! And the company honored its warranty fully, easily and without hassle. September 10, 2012
Compete, clean, articulate and helpful Milgard was great but I would not buy them from Banks Glass again. Horrible to deal with. I will be buy several more Milgard windows -from someone else! September 10, 2012

okay On my initial phone contact the rep said they were only doing warranty service. I mention I had another sliding glass repair door man here and he told be he couldn't touch Milgard screen doors and I had to call Milgard for service. She could order me the parts and said we could install them ourselves. I asked any other options, my husband would not install himself. She did end up ordering and setting up a service date, that was about 1 1/2 weeks later. That was okay, we are not opening doors yet. The repair man arrived and had a difficult time installing the new screen door track. He did not give up. I told him this is why we wanted them to install the new track, because even though it should be simple, it never is. He got it install but said I may need to call and have it readjusted, He said to let it sit before trying to move it. I have not tried to slide it yet, so I don't know if it is working properly. He said he would make notes on the work order to the possible need to come back out. He was very good, in the sense of noticing a problem and trying to get it correct the first time. He wasn't sure if he got it worked out. September 10, 2012
Satisfied The initial trip proved to have the wrong window. The tech was very professional and apologetic. WIthin a week another one was made and the tech returned to install. He was again apologetic, installed quickly and professionaly. I did like where the company sent the consumer the service call confirmation along with a photo of the tech. Security for the homeowner. Improvement The only default was that my problem with my window could not be fixed. I have cigarette smoke coming in my room though my bathroom window. The technician said it was coming in through the drainage ports. The only thing with that being said is that I do not get any smoke in my living room or family room which has two windows and a sliding glass door. It does not make any sense to me. With that being said the response time was fast and the representative was very professional. September 10, 2012

service did not resolve my issue and actually raised concerns regarding installation method (s) suggestion by technician. I'm very unhappy with: the overall quality of the product ordered and the followup service. The sliding patio door's measurements are not very accurate, creating: a difficult installation and: an unpleasant overall appearance. When the service technician arrived to review the issue he accused me of improper installation,he said the door was racked, not because of manufacture error but , again because of poor installation and would not acknowledge that the door was out of square. He couldn't accurately hold and read a tape measure and after stating that he didn't know what to do finally suggested that we should manually "bend' (which he agreed existed) the upper frame into "place" and secure it (nail it) to the header. When I questioned this solution his answer was, "Milgard now says it's okay to nail to the header". So, he bent, I nailed! Through the help of the millworks Home Depot (where the door was ordered) we tried to reschedule another service rep to come out, verify the problem and confirm that the technician's solution was appropriate. Milgard refused to send another rep out. Neither my client nor I am happy with your quality control process or your lack of desire to rectify the problem. Needless to say I won't be recommending Milgard to any future clients or to any of my contractor collegues. September 9, 2012

I highly reecommend Milgard windows and service I am a Realtor in Southern CA., and when I remodeled my house I changed out all the windows and replaced them with dual pane Milgard windows. I love them. I had a couple of windows that needed to be replaced and when I called everyone was so friendly and capable sounding on the phone. It was the same wonderful service when someone came out to assess my situation, and again yesterday when my two side windows in a bay window were replaced. Outstanding Customer Service We have a pretty good size house with a lot of windows and they are all Milgard. After 9 years we only had a problem with one window. My wife called, they came right out and replaced it in a few weeks. Looks brand new. We could not be happier and I would not hesitate to buy their windows again. window work Technician actually arrived a little before appt.. which was good. He was friendly and performed the work efficiently and professionally. Fixed problem The Milgard maintenance rep was able to fix the problem without sending out a service tech. She sent out a new handle to try first - It worked - the window is fully operational again. No need for an on-site appointment September 7, 2012

Great and bad Everyone at Milgard is curteous and professional. The In-home service tech team was absolutely great! I was happy to invite them into my home. The coordination and communication between the tech team and the Service rep is virtually non-existant. The Tech team had none of the site specific information I had provided at the time I scheduled the appointment, making it impossible for them to do the job. It eventually took three tries before the tech team showed up within the time frame that had been communicated to me over the phone and with the right equipment. Having looked at the Tech team's schedule, I know that theirs did not match the Service Team's. September 7, 2012
The warranty is rock solid, the work was fast and great! I had been living with a few unsealed and slightly blemished windows for a little while because I had forgotten about the lifetime warranty of Milgard windows. But as we were preparing to sell our house, I came across the warranty papers and was reminded that we could get the unsealed windows replaced under warranty. I contacted Milgard, submitted my window specs, and they called me back with a date when the work would be done a few weeks later. The day the service tech came, I was assuming I would have to stick around for at least the two-hour window and maybe more. Turned out he had the six window panes replaced in under one hour! They looked great! The new owners will be very happy with these "new" windows. All of this was done with a minimum of effort on my part and no questions asked other than to verify the Milgard serial numbers. Great service! September 7, 2012

Excellent service once again. When I built my house I received what must have been a defective batch of windows. The seals began failing the first year. I have contacted Milgard for replacement under their lifetime warranty and their service has been excellent, they stand behind their product. I've since used Milgard windows in an addition and in my garage and have had no problems with these but went with Milgard because of their service. September 7, 2012
Very pleased We purhcased a house and we noticed that one of windows had a broken seal on it when we purchased it. We said we do something about it, but never did. A couple years later, we painted the house a darker color and the window we never thought about stuck out like a sore thumb. We were not the first owners, so I was wondering about the warranty. I looked on the website and foudn the information readily available. I called and they forwarded me to the Oregon representative and she told me about the next available appointment. A month later I got an email stating my time. The repair guys came on time and were done in a couple of hours, as the window was about 30 ft off the ground. Plus, my 11-month old son loved to see the guys work and even said "truck". Thank you Milgard! Nathan September 7, 2012

Good windows poorly installed = poor value Since the house was constructed, portions have settled causing a main window and specifically its frame to shift by 3/8" This means that the window remains difficult to open and close even after 2 service appointments to rectify the situation. Professional., On-time service. An example to other services. The service tech (Andy, I think) showed up on time. Introduced himself. Made sure he was at the correct address. Asked to see the window in question. Confirmed there was a problem. Made the necessary repairs. Inquired about any other problems. Told us to cann if any other problems arose. Had us sign the service ticket. Went on his way. He did NOT leave a mess and he was professional. I hope not to need any more service, however if all of the service techs are as professional as Andy is your company will be well represented. Ernie September 6, 2012
