I'm disappointed with the level of quality and customer service we bought replacement windows several years ago and were told there was a lifetime guarantee. We have 1 bedroom we rarely go into. It was our son's room and he has long left home so it is only for guests now. We noticed that the screen on the casement window didn't fit properly. We called and were told that screens aren't covered and we'd have to purchase another screen. We did and picked it up at Newman to avoid the shipping charge. We brought the screen home and installed it. It also fit improperly so I called Milgard again. A service rep came to the house and ultimately said, that's the best we can hope for with that screen. I asked for a refund of the money we spent for the replacement and he said he'd request that for us. We never heard back and never received a credit. It's only $23 or so but it speaks volumes of your customer service. November 22, 2012
Great warranty and service Five years after the sliding door was installed, one of the bottom track went crooked, i went on the internet to schedule a repair service. It took quite a while (weeks) to get a response, but after that it is all smooth sailing. This is what my tenant said: "The repairman right on schedule and replaced the rail for the screen door at the time of the visit. Luckily he had a rail of the same length that was required so he could do it on the spot. It took him about 20 minutes to make the replacement and everything is fine. The screen door is back on and functioning very smoothly." November 21, 2012
5 stars for Paulino Paulino R arrived early to our appointment window which was a great surprise - we are used to contractors arriving at the end or after the allotted window. Paulino quickly fixed the problem we had with one of our windows and helped explain how the other windows work. He also gave us some helpful tips on how to maintain the windows and offered suggestions on when to replace certain components like springs. November 21, 2012
Incredibly efficient and professional service. Your service man arrived at 7:45 am and had replaced the dual pane window in our master bedroom in less than 30 minutes and even cleaned the new window inside and out before departing!! November 21, 2012

getting a call back I put 2 calls into service center and left my phone # and never got a call back, I finally called Temecula plant direct and stayed on phone till I talked to Patti in service dept. and setup a service call. After that everything went fine. The 800 # to where ever does not work in customers favor! Call plant direct and stay online till you get a live voice. Service rep. Milgard ROCKS! At first I didn't get a quick response back from the initial call but once I called a spoke to a Supervisor, the staff was great. Original staff member I spoke to contacted me every time I called or emailed. Set-up the appointment with ease and the Tech (Ray was fast, clean leaving no mess behind) and very nice. Completely satisfied! Even after 16 years, Milgard honored their limited lifetime warranty. One phone call was all that it took. I was told the day the service rep would be at our house and the 2 hour window as to when he would arrive for the inspection and again for replacement. I will never refer anyone to use Milgard for windows!! I purchased my home in 8/2012 and in the purchase agreement the owner of the home called Milgard to have the windows replaced under warranty due to broken seals. There were 2 windows in question and when the techs came out to inspect window they found there were actually 7 windows that needed replaced due to broken seals. There are only 9 windows in my house and the only reason I believe the other 2 weren't covered is because they were broken so no way to prove broken seal. They came out and replaced the glass in all 7 windows in October. On 11/19/12 my (non opening# livingroom window began to leak very bad to the point where it was soaking a dish towel in 20 minutes or less. I called them and they said they could not get out to look at it until 11/30/12. I advised that this was not an acceptable amount of time to wait and any damages #wood, drywall, carpet, etc# would be their fault. A tech was sent out that day and when they got to the house they tried to say that the leak was around the frame not the window and that is not covered. We tried to explain that it wasn't leaking before they came out and replaced glass so it was their fault it was leaking. Not only that but there is no water damage to the wood around the window and if it had in fact been leaking there would have been damage since they put the windows in back in 2005 #I believe this was the year it was built) when the house was built. They told us there was nothing they could do and left. November 19, 2012

.Excellent on One, Strike out on another The window was replaced. Great job done. We were pleased to not have to do anything (no painting) and it looks great. The cranks on our windows seemed to keep breaking. We appreciate that Milgard honors their warranty. Unfortunately the wrong part was sent to fix the bathroom window. We also asked if they would go ahead an fix the one crank that has not broken yet and were told we have to wait until it fails. November 19, 2012

Replaced bottom track, but not seal The plastic lip with brush strip to seal the bottom track of our sliding glass door broke. We call to check if it was under warranty. They said it was and scheduled a replacement. We gave them the color and size info, they found our installation info in their database and all was confirmed. However, when the tech arrived, he only replaced steal section of the bottom track (which was fine and didn't need replacing. When we showed him the damaged part, he said that was due to "wear and tear" and was not covered under the warranty. Sadly, while this started out as a good experience, it did not end that way. Great in-home service but poor response to initial request It took me two attempts to schedule my warrantee service. I used the online tool but my request was lost. I had to call to schedule the service. When I called, I was notified that the Milgard computer system was acting odd and that my initial request was not received. This is unacceptable. From a customer service standpoint, my first request should have gone through. The in-home service technician was very friendly and knowledgable. He arrived promptly and fixed my problem quickly. I actually "enjoyed" having the window replaced due to the staffs caring attitude! I have had Milgard Service out twice. My windows are 20 years old and had no problem getting the warrantee service. The service tech was very personable, polite, careful, prompt, professional and just a very nice man to deal with. I can say I actually "enjoyed" the experience. I received the same high level of profession excellence that I've come to expect with each Milgard contact. Actually finding time to call Milgard was the hardest part of getting service to a bedroom window installed in 1999. The Customer Service person I talked with was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, and an appointment was set up with no hassle. The service rep who came to the house yesterday was also very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. He took one look, saw the problem, got his tool box and materials and solved the problem, washed the window, and was gone within an hour. It can't possible get any better than this!!! service was very good, had a slight problem getting my service date changed had a slight problem getting my service date changed. the automatic email reminder, did not cancel the old date. the date was actually changed on the order, just the automatic reminder messed up, so i had to call back to make sure the proper date was there. it was. the service tech was very good. kept the house clean and "got her done". the alarm system magnet cause a problem which took a little longer than planned, be he got it right! he was very polite and very knowledgeable. it's very nice to see someone with experience (16yr) and polite too. thank you Sergio jim November 16, 2012
The service was very professional and well done The service on our windows was done thoroughly. The problem was gaps at the corners of the windows, which I thought would just be filled with caulking. The serviceman removed the existing trim and installed new trim that fit. He worked quickly and efficiently and did a good job. It was apparent that he was skilled in his area. November 16, 2012
