Very knowledgeable and responsive local representative I contacted Milgard and a local Bay Area competitor early in the design phase for my Sea Ranch residence. The Milgard representative response to my various questions was immediate, complete and focused on my needs. The competitor took weeks, ignored my questions and his price was much higher. I believe Milgard's products are superior and precisely suited for my Northern California location. I will recommend your local representative to everyone who needs windows/doors. Great service and honest warranty 16 years later In 16 years with Milgard windows throughout our house, we've only had the locking mechanism on one casement window break. We were amazed not only that Milgard actually honored its lifetime warranty, but that they sent a knowledgeable techician, Tom Dobbs, to our log house, located in remote Eastern Washington State, to fix the window. We've been happy with all of our Milgard windows, and would choose them if we built again. August 3, 2012
Milgard will not warranty 10 year old Milgard windows We purchased a 10-year-old home. Several of the large fixed pane windows had lost their seals; they were foggy on the inside. I looked up the warranty and saw we were within the 10 year install/construction window. I called Milgard and was told from the information I provided, the windows would be replaced at no cost. Milgard came to the house. The rep said little and led me to believe the windows would be replaced. I received a call the next week from a manager informing me the windows would not be replaced. Please tell me who buys or builds a house thinking they will need to replace the windows. The windows show no damage other than they are cloudy on the inside. Why would multiple windows of the same size fail. We were not even offered a discount from Milgard to order new glass. Who does that? No company is too big to offer good customer service. Superb service, superb products, superb warranty. We talked with Marissa about two defective windows. She scheduled a visit to examine and measure the windows, then a visit to replace them. Sergio arrived today--early (unheard of!) and replaced the defective windows. Not only that, but on his earlier visit, he noticed another window that was defective, ordered it and brought it along for installation! We just noticed it a couple of days ago, and called Milgard. Marissa said the lead time was too short and to have Sergio look at it. No need--he'd done it already. Fabulous service. July 2, 2012
Milgard is wonderful! When we built our home in the early 1990's we had a number of choices. In choosing windows we're so glad we decided on Milgard! After 17 years in our home some of the panes developed seal leaks and I called a local glass company. But when they found out we had Milgard windows they suggested calling Milgard. Imagine our surprise when Milgard said they'd replace the windows for free under the warranty. The service crew of Tom, Omar, and Jorge did excellent work and were absolutely wonderful! Thank you Milgard for the excellent service and for honoring the warranty 17 years after we built our home. We'd recommend you to anyone! Brian June 26, 2012
Customer service was the worst I have ever received, if I could rate lower than poor I would. Customer service rep never answers the phone. When I receive an email from the customer service rep it is always in capitol letters, one or two sentences, very vague, and unprofessional. All I want is my product request complete and that will be the last time I every do business with or recommend your company. May 24, 2012
