Poor Service The Techs were overall our past the window time and did not call until they were 45 minutes late to tell me they were on there way. The replaced the defective door panels (defective on new door) which took 3 months to get fixed) and left the screen not working properly, The glass was left with handprints and the door in poor working condition. Did not even clean track on sliding door or lube door mechanisms. I had to chase them down and make them come back to look at door hitting due to incorrect stops installed at factory, they told me they would mail me the part and I could install it. Job Well Done! Milgard service was prompt and professional. We had a couple of sliding glass doors that needed adjustment in order to engage the locking mechanism. The technician quickly adjusted the doors in order to fix the issue and also fixed some weatherstripping on another exterior door and adjusted a casement window as well. The service request was only for the sliders but the tech went above and beyond to service all other issues and made sure we were satisfied before leaving. Thank you Milgard! November 26, 2014

Here on time, delt with the problem quickly, door works fine. We have a 10 year old sliding glass door on which the track had failed. He replaced the track and the door works like new. Thanks to all. November 26, 2014
Lousy Eight weeks after the windows were delivered and the missing and wrong parts were identified, the service guy shows up once again with part of the items being wrong. I am in the manufacturing business of architectural specialties myself and I know Mr. Murphy well, however Milgard is in a category by itself in that their people are utterly unappologetic and really don't seem to care when the problem gets resolved. We are asked again and again to rely on their reputation of always standing behind their product. That may or may not be the case, but it seems totally lost on them that WHEN matters almost as much.... what a shame, the product is excellent. I convinced my girlfriend to go with the Milgard top of the line fiberglass product because as a designer I felt it was superior over Pella's product, even though at one time Pella was a customer of mine. After this service experience we will probably have to continue with this product for the bottom floor renovation, however the top floor will go to Pella, in 20 years of using them we have never had an experience like this. Visit to correct 3 panel slider issue We had a 3 panel slider installed. The window had a slight issue with closing and the installer left without attaching one of the weather strips--leaving it for Milgard to take care of due to closing issue. Within a week of the install date Milgard called and e-mailed to setup appointment roughly one week later. They were responsive via e-mail and were able to give me a 2 hour time slot. Technician came in and fixed weather stripping, adjusted the door (locking mechanism) and we were good to go with the door now adjusted and closing properly. Not sure why installer couldn't have done that. Bottom line is we now have our 3 panel door working properly. We expect these windows to keep the house warmer in winter. We'll know in a few months. We like our new windows plus we should be getting several hundred back from our Energy Trust of Oregon. November 25, 2014

In home service was very good. Took too long to get appointment It took almost 2 weeks after I submitted service request to get a response. Then the first available appointment was about 6 weeks out. On day of original appointment, I got a call stating that the glass was not shipped, so appointment was rescheculed for 3 weeeks later. Once the glass actually arrived, the tech installed it quickly and efficiently and was very professional. November 25, 2014

Value Added On a rainy Northwest day, our Milgard technician phoned to say they were running behind and asked if we would prefer a late arrival or reschedule. They arrived only a bit late and went straight to work replacing our warrantied glass door panel. They were tidy, the installation is perfect and the added value of the visit was a correction of a the original door installation, so now our doors swing and lock more easily. Awesome Service The technician, Robert was on time and very professional. He answered all our questions about the windows that he replaced and our questions regarding other windows and what we noticed. You will NEVER find better warranty coverage and/or performance ! I just witnessed two very professional service men ( Johnny and Scott ) arrive promptly as scheduled, to service a second-story crank-out window and a failed patio slider door latch. New, high quality parts were nicely installed despite our Northwest drizzles, everything is working "like new", and all was accomplished with good humor and obvious technical knowhow. outstanding service! The tech arrived right on time and replaced the window with the seal failure. He then discovered that the new window had a scratch in it, he immediately contacted the factory and they made a new one, which he installed the same day. Warranty service good - response time poor. This was an unlocking issue to exit the house. From start to finish, the repair including parts and scheduling took almost two months! Technicians were great - response and scehduling were poor. I think there is a management problem with the process!!! November 24, 2014

The whole claim process was smooth and professional. If we were to build again, we would install Milgard windows. They stand behind their product. We have a large home, virtually all windows. We had 3 of them develop a leak within the dual panes. They started a claim process - every aspect of the process was very efficient from the person who began the process, to the person who verified the measurements and finally the two men who did the installation. The sevice techs are great The service tech was great,but had to make two trips because he was given the wrong information from his dispatcher whom I explained several times what he should bring to fix the door.This isn't, the first time this has happened ,either they don't listen or are not familiar with the product line. Amazing service and integrity It has been over a decade since the windows were installed, but when I noted that one of them had moisture between the panes and was corroding I contacted Milgard. I am impressed that they stood by their warranty and came out to measure and then replace the window. The service was very professional, and the staff on the phone were particularly courteous and helpful. This is an anomaly in today's corporate world. I am very grateful.
