What Happened to MIlgard? Let me start by saying I have 32 Milgard windows, I have had 4 of them replaced over the last 5 years and every time the service call to to the repair has been top notch, however my last experience was not in line with what I am used to from Milgard! December 16, 2013

The service left my doors inoperable A Milgard technician and his assistant came out to my house to assess my service needs then returned at a later date with parts. One of their tasks was replacing the weather stripping on my both my French Doors. After they spent an hour slamming the door shut numerous times, the lead technician said "We'll the doors don't lock after we installed the weather stripping. You will need the slam the door as hard as you can to get it to lock or just love them unlocked". I was furious which didn't seem to get his attention. My doors still do not shut properly, now one of them is out of alignment from the "slamming" recommendation. When I replace the windows some day! I will be looking for a more reputable brand. I have had Milgard windows for years and recently needed service. The response was great. After having Milgard windows for years, I needed service. The service tech replaced a couple turn handles and inspected a couple windows that I thought might need service. He was very professional and efficient. Inspected all my windows and indicated that Milgard would replace three of them at no charge. I was so impressed. I highly recommend Milgard--their windows and their service. Very Impressed! My service from Milgard was Excellent. From the initial call to request a failed window replacement which were orig. installed in 2007. Milgard's representative gave prompt service and time frame for appt. The Service tech that came to our home, called 20 minutes before arrival. He was very efficient, friendly and not only fixed the failed window. He also addressed each one of our crank out windows. They had a horrible loud noise when opening and he adjusted each one during his time. Which I was Very pleased with. I love my Milgard windows I purchased my windows in 1991 and have been completely pleased with them. They still look good and work beautifully. I required a balance bar repair a couple years ago and the service person was just great. I recently had another balance bar problem and Tara was wonderful to deal with...very quick, knowledgeable and cheerful. I will be able to fix my own window with the balancers being mailed to me..free of charge :)...a little advice from Tara and a youtube video! Juan went above and beyond during my service in showing me about my windows and screens. These guys are a huge credit to your Milgard team. Ok but a few things could have been handled better Had to supply my own shop vac since tech did not have one to pick up broken glass which meant I had to dispose of glass myself. Tech fixed glass door but did not check to see if screen door operated properly...it didn't....so I had to fix it myself December 13, 2013

Replace a failed window promptly One of our windows failed. Called the office, explained the problem, they scheduled an appointment. 2 techs came fixed it and were gone. Polite and efficient and professional. Would highly recommend. December 13, 2013
Happy Happy Happy! I had a window that had begun to accumulate moisture between the panes of glass, I waited a long time to call because I feared it would be a big hassle to replace. In the end I scheduled the service appointment online and it couldn't have been easier! The technician who came to our house was extremely polite and professional. He removed the window, took it down to his truck, replaced the glass and replaced the window - simple and no mess. I'm very impressed with Milgard's commitment to their product (even though the original window was installed fifteen years ago!). I wish everything in my house was backed with such a great warranty and that every company had such a high level of commitment to their customers as Milgard does! December 13, 2013

The overall service was competent. The initial window replacement was miss-sized although the office had the correct measurements. The original installer noted that the order had the correct measurements listed. Small smudges were left on the outside of the window. Both installers were pleasant and courteous. December 13, 2013

great service Thank you for setting up our appointment with Andy to come out and replace our three windows. He was very prompt and professional and we appreciate his service. We mentioned to him that with the below freezing temps last week we discovered another 19 windows that will need to be replaced and he stated that with the wide fluctuation in temperatures that this is when the problems tend to show up. He suggested that it might be a good idea to wait until spring to replace the others as we may find even more in the coming months. We are aware that you keep a schematic of all of our windows.. We agreed that it made sense to wait and so we will be giving you a follow up call in April or May. Thanks again, December 12, 2013
