Service Was Excellent Initial call to determine trouble with 8" Slider. Then fixed 14 windows that were hard to open because lock was catching. Returned 1 month later to repair slider door. Removed door, replaced track and wheels on bottom of door. Total Time 45 Min. Used to require 2 hands to open door, now can do with one finger. Tech on First Service (OS), did excellent job in diagnosing trouble with slider and ordering Parts. He then fixed all the windows. First time I have been able to open all windows without extreme grunt work. The second Techs (??) also did an excellent job fixing the slider. Extremely satisified with the experience working with Milgard on the initial call and the 2 tech visits. Would definitely recommend Milgard Products. November 21, 2013

Milgard definitely stands behind their product I am in the process of replacing about 70 "new-construction" aluminum windows in one of my projects. I have installed about 10 of these windows so far and ended up with about 1/2" water between the dual-panes in one of the fixed windows after a hard rainstorm (all of the other windows are perfect). I called Milgard and they set up an appointment to have a technician come out to inspect (and repair/replace if necessary). The technician arrived within the scheduled 2-hour time slot, inspected the window quickly to confirm a seal leak ... and replaced the entire dual pane assembly without disturbing the frame ... all within about 20 minutes. He was in and out quickly, left the surrounding area clean ... and even cleaned the glass after installation. It looks just like brand new again. Of course, it was covered under Milgard's warranty. Service was great. Too bad it was needed. No complaints about the service...the corrections were simple and everything looks great. But the defects were issues with assembly and should have been corrected at the factory. Instead, valuable time was wasted by me, the salesman, and the service rep. November 21, 2013

WELL DONE IN EVREY RESPECT. I received an email telling me the approximate time and date of the visit. (I had forgotten the time and date.) The technician telephoned me when he was about 15-20 minutes from my home. He arrived with the right replacement piece of window glass. (I don't remember telling the office which window was fogged.) The tech had the pane replaced and the window back in place in 15-20 minutes. November 21, 2013

beyond my expectations I was impressed with the speed of diagnosis of why I could not remove my windows, with the patience of the rep in explaining the problem to me, and with the added attention to other small areas of need that I hadn't noticed (e.g., I now have a smoother sliding operation). Service was good Too bad the sliding window replacement wasn't noted on work order as well as the stationary side. Now the repairman needs to come back. Another 3 week wait. But on the whole very pleased with the windows and the dependability of the warranty! November 20, 2013

skylite I originally sent a secure message to your company in May of 2013 and no one ever call me back. I called in sept/oct to follow up and they said no message was received. I have the original email (if you want). They came in early November and the order was to replace the skylight. Your technician said they couldn"t replace the entire unit (which was what I had discussed with the technician when I called. Had to spent extra time waiting for another appointment in late November. The technician arrive on time and caulked the seams. Hope it works and waiting for the next storm to see if it leaks anymore. November 20, 2013
Milgard definitely stands behind their product! I had a problem with a patio door and called the Milgard appointment desk. I was given an appointment date and told I would receive an email two days prior to the appointment with a picture of the Milgard installer and a two hour time frame of his arrival. It all went like clock work. The installers were very professional and knowledgeable and best of all they were on time! Not only did they replace the glass in the door but they replaced the lock mechanism as well. The installers were in and out in an hours time. the service results word less than expected. The primary reason for me requesting a service call concerned the sliding glass door on the west side of the house. When we experience NW, west or south west winds over 20 miles per hour there is lots of wind that rushes in through the sliding glass door. When this is happens the living room gets cold and is very uncomfortable. When I purchased the home in the year 2000 I was very pleased to get a lifetime warranty on the windows supplied by Milgard. It now seems like the warranty is no longer valid. The service rep simply looked at the sliding glass door and said if there was a house directly outside the sliding glass door this air infiltration would be eliminated. This hardly rectifies the problem: Your warranty is only as good as solutions to the issues are created. November 20, 2013
Great service. We are very pleased. Your Milgard Service Tech came to our home to install a portion of the door latch on our slider on November 15, 2013. He also made some small adjustments to the sliding glass door during his visit. He was very professional, friendly and courteous during his visit to our home. Upon the completion of his repairs, he demonstrated how to close and latch the doors. He also informed us that Milgard has a lifetime warranty and to call if anything required the company.s attention. French doors must be reinstalled The service tech was on time and was professional. Our exterior Milgard French doors reportedly were not installed correctly, and the installer went out of business shortly after we bought our doors. Because of poor installation, every few months the doors stop locking and they scratch the bottom sill when opening. Unlike the last two visits, this tech could not adjust the doors so that they would lock. After he left, I spent about 20 minutes making adjustments and, fortunately, got the door lock working. The doors are good quality and I plan to have them reinstalled in the spring. Milgard is not responsible for correcting the poor installation, but they were kind enough to inspect the doors to assess the problem. And I do appreciate their efforts to get the doors to lock properly. Thanks, Milgard! November 19, 2013
Good work I feel it was a complete waste of time to make me get serial numbers of the windows and then tell me to call back with the window measurements. I felt like a stall tactic to blow me off and get me to go away. I had to leave several messages to get the repair order started. Not once was my call returned. I always had to call back and press the issue. Additionally asking what rooms each repair was to be done was also a waste as the technician had none of this information when he came to the house. Very poor serivce from tech. The tech did not install the glass correctly, severe waves in the window, would not look at any other storm damages windows and screens. November 19, 2013
