Definitely was impressed on the response and professionalism I've been in my new townhome for over 10 years and had to call for a window replacement. It was easy and convenient with no hassles. The service tech was here at the appropriate time, and was professional, and quick. The only negative comment I can add was that I had to wait about a month for my window replacement. A great window is backed by great service I was pleased to experience the efficiency and ease with which my windows were repaired for the minor issue of floppy weather stripping. Service could not be better! One side of our house gets mountain rain, wind and sleet in the winter and pounding sun in the summer. Over the years, 3 windows have needed replacement. All it takes is a call to Milgard and they schedule it, no questions asked, and no charge. They have a record of the windows in my house so they don't need any measurements or anything else other than which window it is that needs replacement. Great work and very nice techs in each case. Homeowner with Sliding Door/Warranty Issues I started the repair process at Milgard online which I believe to be useful and helpful to initiate the repair process. After I submitted the information online, it took about two weeks before I heard from Milgard and the tech on the phone was very helpful and scheduled a day for the repair person to come out. When the repair person came out, he looked at all the problems and began to perform the work. After an hour of doing some of the repairs he informed me that he checked back with Milgard and stated I did not have any warranty because I am not the original homeowner who installed the windows and doors. He said there was no charge for the repairs up to this point but the sliding door repairs would require payment. I asked him why that wasn't brought to my attention when I was called and he informed me that there is a new policy or software that tracks repairs and so it sounds like I was scheduled during this transition process. I don't feel that a lifetime warranty is worth anything especially if you live in a custom built home where it only applies to the original purchaser of the windows or doors. The other thing that is very surprising is my Milgard windows and doors are only 10 years old and about 3 of the 5 sliding doors in my house are hard to open and close. I've had similar manufactured sliding doors in other homes that were 25 years old and operated without issue. I would not recommend Milgard to anyone considering how the doors operate after 10 years and the fact that "lifetime" warranties are non transferable. Milgard makes a lot of references to "lifetime" warranties, but it really should be just a "warranty." I welcome a response to my situation. November 13, 2013

The service from Milgard is exceptional in every aspect...from the beautiful windows to the lifetime service which I have required twice in 19 years. When I remodeled in 1994 and had new windows installed...Milgard was recommended because of their lifetime warranty which I have only required twice in 19 years. Over the years, I have recommended to friends and neighbors to consider Milgard when installing new windows because of the service they provide to customers. This was the best service ever!!! Vlad showed up on time, put protective shoes on, ( i just got new wood floors so that was awesome) He understood the problem, showed me why it was happening and fixed it perfectly. Timely with good followup When I called to explain my problem, I was given a service date that was timely. I really enjoyed the email pre-notification a day or so ahead…giving me a specific time of day for the visit. And the personal phone call followup. The technician called when he was 30 minutes out to say he was enroute. At all times in this transaction I was confident my appointment would be kept. The technician arrived, introduced himself and quickly and competently corrected the problem with my windows. (One had a slight leak. One needed to be replaced. A second visit was made to install the replacement window) I have always been a fan of Milgard windows because of their product quality. I can now add service followup to that as well. Thank you. Top-Notch Service I've had my doors and windows for 9 years and when the sliding glass door got hard to open and close I called Milgard to see if their lifetime warranty would take care of it. The Milgard representative was very helpful and found my file right away. She made an appointment for the technician to come out to fix my door. The techs arrived with the correct parts and had my door working like new in no time. The techs were very courteous, respectful and very professional. Thank you Milgard for standing by your product. Well done! One of the smoothest transactions I've had with a vendor ever. The service rep was friendly and efficient and we quickly agreed on a service date at my home. Two days in advance, I received an email with a two hour window AND the service tech's name and photo so I knew exactly who to expect. The service rep, Steve Fornof, arrived on time and quickly dealt with the problem window. He wore booties to protect my floor and cleaned up thoroughly. Even the new window was clean when he left. Great service tech Service tech fixed all of our problem windows. We had had service about three years ago and the tech just told me there wasn't anything he could do about some of our windows not locking and some that wouldn't open. He said they must have been installed wrong. This tech fixed all of them. All these years we have been living with new windows that didn't work. It was just a simple fix that the other tech didn't want to bother with. We are very happy now. November 12, 2013
