About us

The origin of Dixieline began in 1913 when the Cowling Family of San Diego founded Dixie Lumber Company. Built on the philosophy that customer service is the key to success, Dixie Lumber quickly established itself as the premier supplier of lumber and building materials in Southern California. In 1957, a merger with Airline Lumber Company brought these two fine organizations together and formed Dixieline. Forty-six years later Dixieline Lumber Company was purchased by Lanoga Corporation and became part of one of the nation's largest professional building materials dealer. Today, Dixieline is owned by ProBuild Holdings Inc. On January 6, 2006, ProBuild purchased the Lanoga Corporation and became the largest professional building materials supplier in the United States.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Steve at Dixieline is very knowledgable and took the time to discuss all door options & answer our questions. We weren't sure what we wanted, just knew we needed to replace our wooden termite eaten french doors. Steve armfield at Dixieline took the time to listen to us, ask us questions and then explained all of our options. We settled on Milgard because of the impressive lifetime warranty. Other brands offer ~10 yr warranties and if we were going to invest 25,000, we wanted more than 10 years. Dixieline also recommended an insured & guaranteed contractor with whom they have worked with for years - Mike Larson. With this confidence, we went forward and did much more than originally planned and we are VERY happy that we did. Mike larson & his team were very professional and expert in working with house structures. Their work is amazing and worth every penny. We are very very pleased with our fiberglass Milgard doors & windows. They are heavy, solid and the locking system is impressive and they are all American made! January 8, 2014
