Milgard Adds Swinging Vinyl Door to Tuscany™ Series Lineup

TACOMA, Wash. (November 1, 2010) - Milgard Windows & Doors, a leading manufacturer of windows and patio doors, now adds a traditionally-hinged swinging vinyl door to the premium vinyl Tuscany™ Series. The new Tuscany Series swinging doors offer beautiful styling and are available in more than 30 single and multi-panel configurations with fixed or operable sidelites.

Fixed or in-swing operable sidelites are available to optimize lighting and exterior views. Sidelites feature narrow stiles for maximum glass area and rails that match the door panel rails for even sight lines. Operable sidelites feature multi-point locks with thumb-turn hardware that complement the Madrona door hardware. Sidelites come complete with aluminum frame screens standard.

Reinforced with a heavy-duty aluminum sub-frame, Tuscany Vinyl Swinging Doors are engineered to maintain dimensional stability and smooth operation. The durable aluminum sill plate is color-matched to the door. A heavy-duty astragal protects against extreme weather and a non-operable door handle is available on the passive panel for a balanced look on paired doors.

The vinyl door panels are mitered and welded to eliminate water infiltration. Accessory grooves on both the interior and exterior of the door accept easy-to-install trim options. The exterior groove accommodates stucco key, J-channel, Brickmold, and Z-Bar™ trim for a variety of installation applications. The interior groove accommodates jamb liners and fillers for flexibility in wall depths from 4 1/16" to 6 1/16".

Three-point stainless steel locking hardware is standard for increased security and performance. Installation and alignment is a breeze with Milgard's two-way adjustable lift-off door hinges. Hardware is available in standard frame-matching White or Tan, plus Oil Rubbed Bronze (non-living). Upgrade hardware finishes include Brushed Chrome and Satin Nickel. Interior hinges are chosen separately for more design flexibility and are offered in all five handle finishes.
