Rated 4 out of 5 by from really like our new door but. we love the door. one issue, the fixed handle is loose. it wiggles when you grab it. We realize it is just there to push the door open, but it still bother us. we had a milgard repair tech look at it and he confirmed that it will wiggle due to the design. For a product that is obviously built solidly to last a long time, a wiggly handle design seems to go against your design philosophy. Thanks

Rated 3 out of 5 by from The doors would be great if there is no defects I purchased two in swings French doors . One of them worked great from day one, the other one has a defective panel. It takes two people to lock the door , one person must push on top while the other have to lock it I requested the service, someone came in may from the Millard and agreed that the panel is defective and will be replaced. Since then no one show up and I didn't get respond to my email. Probably you're very busy after new customers and have no time to correct the issues Hope some will contact me soon

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Product is terrible and I wouldn't buy another Milgard product! After the initial install Milgard service reps had to come back to adjust the side panel doors and dirty glass between the panels was replaced in one of the two side panel doors. The main door glass had to also be replaced due to scratches in the glass. The main door has never opened or closed without scraping the bottom door sill. Milgard service reps have said the door is manufactured incorrectly. It is crooked by greater than 3/8 of an inch. They have ordered a new frame and Milgard sent them hinges instead. They have ordered the door frame a second time and I am still waiting for it to be delivered and installed. The door was ordered in October 2016 and installed in November 16 2016. First service call was on December 27, 2016 (6 weeks). Second service call was February 7, 2017 ( another 6 weeks) and it was determined the door was crooked and needed to be replaced. Third service call was scheduled for April 4, 2017 (another 8 weeks gone) and it was cancelled due to, I was told, damaged parts being delivered. Fourth service call was scheduled for May 11, 2017 and again cancelled due to no parts from factory being delivered. Fifth service call was occurred on May 16, 2017 and only new hinges were brought, not a straight door frame. We are currently (June 6, 2017) at 28 weeks since the door was initially installed and still the crooked main door remains in place without anyone at Milgard letting me know when this door frame is to be replaced with a straight one that doesn't drag and stick on the door sill every time you enter or exit the door.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Poor construction, slow service Screen was not fitted to window. The screen was of flimsy construction that is not likely to last. The holes to secure it to the door did not match the holes in the frame. Similarly I am concerned that the seals around the door will be needing replacement within a relatively short time. Door was installed in January. Expect something in April. Paid for more expensive glass that did not have guarantee that lesser quality glass.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Esseence Door We recently purchased a Essence french door and 3 new windows through a contractor. Our home was broken into over 2 months ago and we opted to wait the 2 months for Milgard to manufacture while we had wood and cardboard over our windows. Delivery and installation day came (2/8/17) and after removing the crate from the door we notice it was not the correct door, my contractor checked his emails he found Milgard somehow did not contruct the correct door. We had the option of sending the door back however this would mean another 2 month wait. We decided we would work with the door that we received. Once the door was in place we were unable to get the door handle and lock to function so the door is stuck. This means the door cannot be shored up properly so it is temporarly installed. As of today 2/9/17 we are currently waiting to hear from Milgard regarding the warranty and what can be done to repair this. This door was very expensive I would have thought they would have at least tried to operate the door before it left the factory? I would check other brands before buying this wasn't exactly the experience we expected.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from these look great Replaced old aluminum sliders with French doors. The installation was very quick, and all the details were taken care of. The doors look great and operate easily. We also replaced an old double slider with the Tuscany sliders. The house looks a lot better and the windows help with insulation and noise.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Ultra Series In-Swing French Doors NOT WHAT I ORDERED My neighbor purchased Ultra Series In-Swing French Doors made by Milgard and I really liked the overall construction and assembly. I just happened to be in the market to replace my french doors and have a slightly larger opening then my neighbor. I called on the same installer to order the same Ultra Series design. Unfortunately the construction was completely different, which made the door unstable when opening and closing and does not have the same exterior construction in the door jambs as does my neighbor, which I immediately noticed after the install. As a result I requested the installer to send a representative from Milgard to inspect the door and his response was, my door is constructed differently because it larger in width. I expressed your website talks about construction being custom and asked why my door couldn't be constructed using the same jambs supports style as my neighbor, which would provide more stability, especially since its a larger door. In addition I expressed the door is marketed as a fiberglass door and yet my door has aluminum door jambs, however my neighbors door jambs are made of fiber glass. In the end I requested a replacement Ultra Series French door to be constructed in the same fashion as my neighbors. The response I received was that decision is above my pay grade. Afterward the Milgard representative offered to discount the door a $1000.00 or take the door back so I can order a different door from another manufacturer. Needless to say I'm very disappointed with Milgard and will not purchase any future products from their company. So much for a great neighborly referral Milgard!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Door This door looks great and is great quality. The door lock is the only problem. It should be tested and set at the factory so it is not a problem when installed. My door still doesn't lock. Still working on it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product. This new door replaced a 38 year old wooden door that leaked so badly neighbors thanked me for heating the neighborhood. No more. The door is aesthetically a treat to look at and keeps the heat and cool where it belongs - in my house. Sorry neighbors. We got a full-length sidelite. It's big enough to walk through itself and does a fabulous job of ventilating the room which, being upstairs, tends to get hot in the California summer. Screen keeps the bugs out. All in all delighted with the product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from French door doesn't close easily I bought a Milgard out swing French patio door and 2 weeks after the door was installed, we had a small problem with the door closing completely . The bottom of the door would hit the metal latch at the bottom of the frame thus preventing the door from closing easily . We would have to lift up on the door handle to elevated the door a little inorder to avoid the metal latch and to close the door. The plus side is that there is a warranty on the Tuscany series so if becomes a big problem and we have the warranty to fall back on .

Rated 1 out of 5 by from We placed a 25,000 dollar order on October 21, 2015 We ordered 5 doors, one single door, two single doors with side lights (screens), one french door with two solid glass windows (143" opening) and one french door with two side lights. Two of the five are installed perfectly and we are happy with the product and the installation. One had to be installed because the demo was completed, however it is built incorrectly-out swing instead of inswing making the sidelights in effective. One of the others has been built the same way and had to be returned. No word on when all of this will be completed. no screens and 5 different keys!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Disappointed in the quality. We have ordered many Milgard windows over the years. This is a single swing door with two side lights. Love the side lights and locking mechanisms, BUT the entire unit shipped needing major hinge adjustments which slowed down the installation by the installer. Unfortunately we had to contact Milgard customer service because the one sidelight was bowed, but at least it closed with gentle effort. (Great customer service by the way!) A young man was sent out from Milgard to re-adjust the hinges and did the best fix that he could. The one side light is no longer visually flush all around but now it closes without hitting the jam. Here is a question for you... Why wasn’t this done or caught as a QA process at the factory? The doors were delivered with side lights that needed a LOT of adjustments. Oh well. The other windows were fine. I must admit we are glad you stand by your product. This is why we always buy Milgard. Please improve your QA.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Doors! Excelent looking door system. Fiberglass door with a great deal of window view. Sliding screen is great too! Frame is equal to or smaller the the same door in wood. We are very happy with the doors!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad The 6 windows and 2 doors seem to be ok products, One hinged door does not seal. there is a 13 millimeter gap between the door molding and the wall. The screen on the sliding door is crooked, so it is only riding on one roller. It drags vinyl to vinyl on the other side. The calking on the outside was not faired. I hope Milgard is able to resolve these deficiencies

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Lockset doesn't work and door doesn't close properly The lockset does not work properly. I am unable to close the door from the outside and the locking mechanism isn't functioning. The door doesn't close properly. I have to use a lot of pressure to close it and it doesn't seal properly either.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great look - nice operation Our Ultra Series in-swing French Doors look great and the way they operate is second to none! The locking mechanism it easy to use and gives you a feeling your real secure when all locked up. Further, when you want booth doors open, it's easy to unlatch the stationary door. Great, well thought out product that looks good.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Tuscany French Doors - the worst They looked good online, but the delivered product was simply terrible. Manufacturing defects left a large gap between the two doors in the middle (top and bottom have a tight match), barely engaging the locking mechanism. Service technician acknowledged a manufacturing issue after seeing them, and is ordering new doors, but that is 5-8 weeks to replace!! The door tops are completely uneven inside the frame, again really poor manufacturing quality. Absolutely not worthy of a formal dining room. Lastly the locking mechanism is not intuitive at all. We read the instructions, and then twice my wife and I thought we had set the deadbolt on the doors (and we can see it engaged), but our daughter walks right into the house through an unlocked door - complete safety failure. Not happy. Cannot recommend this product.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not worth the price you pay We bought this product with the understanding that they are the best on the market, we were wrong. Firstly the door opening mechanism is cheap and there is so much play that it moves an inch before the handle engages. The fiberglass framing was not correctly joined so the frame was not 100% straight and the seals on the bottom fall off when you touch them with your foot (I siliconed them in to stay). The door also has a very cheap sound when you close them and the locking mechanism is extremely complicated resulting in me inadvertently leaving the back door unlocked many times. To add insult to injury we had hair (black and curly) in-between the panes but milguard did replace them for free only that they put the new glass in upside down with the grids not exactly straight (inside as well). In my opinion they are cutting way too many costs and unfortunately I am stuck with the result.
