Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brings the outside in!!! We replaced one 6' X 6' window and two 3' X 6' windows in our great room with a 15' Milgard moving glass door system in November 2014. It has completely changed the functionality of our home. The now unobstructed view of the golf course and mountains is absolutely spectacular!!! We didn't realize how much of the view we were missing prior to the change. When the doors are open, the great room and patio areas become one large living area, great for entertaining or just relaxing. The home appears larger even when the doors are closed. The heat reduction feature of the glass is amazing. We live in the desert and the great room gets sun until late morning. The great room is significantly cooler even with the large increase in glass exposure. The contractor was outstanding. The demolition of the wall and windows and installation of the moving glass door system were very professional, and every commitment date was met. We are extremely satisfied and highly recommend the Milgard moving glass door system and the contractor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Effortless Action We bought the Milgard sliding door and screen because the product we had previously was difficult to open and/or close especially for my wife. The Milgard door slides effortlessly , my wife is happy and I am happy because she is no longer yelling at me about the sliding door.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from INCOMPETENCE I contracted US Energy in Las Vegas to install 2 triple pane stacking doors by Milgard. My problems started with one set having the jamb latch set punched on the wrong side of jamb which required the installer flip the jamb upside down and to grind out a new hole for the latch. Of course they neglected to get the backing box or plate so you see the wood studs through the latch hole. Their fix was some light gauge galvanized plate metal. I told them I would fix it myself. I purchased a piece of flat stock aluminum from Home Depot and installed it myself. Both doors install jamb screws were put in at off angles and not flush which was an eye sore when the door was open allowing those poorly installed mounting screws to be visible (no care for simple craftsmanship) Also, they neglected to pull the felt gasket strips so the door did not seal at at - I heard the door whistle whenever the wind blew and could hear outside noise very well when near the door. It took over 3 Vegas Summer months to get a strip ordered and installed (so much for energy efficiency). The same door had a defect in the glass on one of the 3 panes. Getting them to look at it, confirm the defect and reorder was a 10 week process. 3-4 weeks in to the re-order, I received a call from the installer and was asked “which door was it again...?” — I about crapped a green apple and replied “Are you serious? You haven’t ordered the new pane yet!”. When the new pane came, WRONG SIZE — So bad!! the new felt seal strip came with door and they installed it - wrong size there to (to bulky) causing the foot to bounce back and require force to close and lock. i finished my remodel in May of 2019 and I have yet to have either set work completely correct. I could go on and elaborate but I have wasted enough time. Honestly, Milgard has not perfected their design of this style of doors. I believe when (if) they eventually get my doors right, they will work for me. I just think the engineers need to re-engineer this product and Milgard needs to re-evaluate their approved installers as this company was so much like used car sales - they got my check with my trust that they would correct the couple issues I noticed at first. I should’ve never given them 100%. US Energy Windows and Doors has been awful at resolving the problems (most of which they created. Defects happen and Milgard is standing behind that issue but I’m force to use US Energy to resolve that too. AWFUL!!
