Grand Prairie, Texas (March 11th 2015) – Milgard Windows & Doors, a leading brand of residential and commercial windows, patio doors and Moving Glass Wall Systems, today announced it will expand operations with the opening of new manufacturing facilities in Grand Prairie, Texas. This will be the first Milgard manufacturing plant in Texas for the growing brand, known for its top quality and outstanding customer service, backed by Milgard’s Full Lifetime Warranty. The new facilities are expected to create over 150 jobs in the next 4 years.
Milgard is the most recognized and purchased window brand in the Western Region of the U.S., Milgard’s primary trading area. In 2010, Milgard entered the Texas market with products manufactured and delivered from Milgard’s Denver, Phoenix and Tacoma plants.
The proximity of the new facilities will allow Milgard to be closer to customers in Texas and parts of Oklahoma, enabling faster deliveries and even better customer service. Besides the manufacturing facilities in Grand Prairie, Milgard will have service and sales presence in each of Dallas-Fort Worth, San Antonio, Austin and Houston.
“Texas is attractive to us for many reasons, including its tremendous housing market growth. We’ve found Texas to have a very business friendly environment and have enjoyed strengthening our partnerships with local dealers and trade professionals. It’s an optimal time for Milgard to invest in putting more resources to better serve these customers,” said Randy Buchanan, general manager of Milgard’s Texas facilities.
Milgard plans to release several new products to address the needs of Texas homeowners later this year. “We will continue to expand operations and offer new and innovative products designed specifically for the Texas market,” said Buchanan. “We recognize our customers in Texas have specific desires concerning not only functionally, but also in terms of aesthetic options to complement the architectural style of Texas homes.”
The official Grand Opening is scheduled for April 9th, though employees already moved in to the new offices this week with production underway.
